Bude

Bude is a seaside town in north Cornwall, where the River Neet meets the Atlantic at Bude Bay. It has four beaches within walking distance of the centre - including Summerleaze with its tidal sea pool and Crooklets, the main surf beach - and sits at the midpoint of over 30 miles of the South West Coast Path. The 19th-century Bude Canal runs inland from the harbour, now used for kayaking and flat-water swimming.

History
